WHAT’S THE PURPOSE?
This Association comprises of former and current leaders of Malaysian Government, Departments and Agencies, Captains of Industries representing leading financial institutions, NGOs, Enterprises, and individuals.
INTRODUCTION
Persatuan Muafakat One Belt One Road Malaysia (One Belt One Road Association-PMOBOR), is a non profit organization.
The Association consists of a group of Malaysian entrepreneurs who have investment in China. Through our strong presence and business network, we have been actively promoting Malaysia as a prime investment destination in South East Asia for Chinese entrepreneurs.
The essence of the Association‘s platform is to promote regional and cross-continental connectivity between Malaysia China, South East Asia and Eurasia. The platform will enable Malaysia and China industry leaders with network support business opportunities available through the One Belt One Road (OBOR) strategies and initiatives.
What is PERSATUAN MUAFAKAT ONE BELT ONE ROAD MALAYSIA (PMOBOR) purpose and initiatives?
PMOBOR will provide advice and network links for Malaysian industries, its neighboring countries and Eurasia to identifying, establishing business opportunities with Chinese enterprises through the One Belt One Road Initiatives through:
To promote and foster bilateral trade, services and investment
between Malaysia and China. In addition, to maintain and further improve close trading commercial and other links between Malaysia and China
To provide an active leadership role in engaging leaders
of Malaysia and China in liaising, mediating, representing and cooperation with any company, institution, society or association between governments, towards assisting to establish relevance and objectives of The Association of Malaysia- China One Belt One Road Promotion
Establish and provide practical guidance
about the application of the One Belt One Road Initiatives to Malaysia industry and its neighboring countries or any interested entities
Support cultivation of the One Belt One Road projects
that are significant to Malaysian key industry sectors and professional services
Build and strengthen relationships with key OBOR decision makers
and other relevant representatives of the Chinese government, for PMOBOR initiatives or programs
These initiative activities will enable Malaysia’s industry and professional services to gain sound understanding of investment and service channels and links presented by the One Belt One Road objectives.
In doing so, PMOBOR initiatives will also contribute to the following objectives:
- Malaysian industry, professional service leaders and network channels for collaboration between Malaysia and Chinese businesses are more aware, better educated and better understanding about the One Belt One Road Initiatives.
- Persatuan Muafakat One Belt One Road’s promotional roles and initiatives are recognized by the key Chinese decision makers.

PMOBOR provides a platform for China and OBOR partner countries to share agricultural practices and technology; enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of resources in a sustainable manner’ and foster mutual beneficial agricultural cooperation
Advanced Manufacturing
Establish and cooperate with partner countries along the OBOR to build regional advance manufacturing sectors that are focused on innovative technology, talent and skill development and global supply chain network
E – Commerce
Establish a secure and efficient cross border e-commerce investment and operation platforms to drive the OBOR trade and mutual prosperities, thus forming a strong network connecting all sub regions in Asia and extending to Europe
Forum & Events
Direct and promote OBOR related events program between key Chinese decision makers and Malaysia-China Industries leaders
Cultural Tourism
With more than 500 sites of world heritage and cultural sites located along the OBOR routes, which represents more than half of such sites around the world, PMOBOR presents an opportunity to promote and protect these wealth of heritage and culture at the same time
In addition, Malaysia companies in the following sectors can capitalize on the current and future OBOR opportunities:
- Connectivity: Aviation, Logistics, railway and ports, which extends to include policy coordination, infrastructure construction (railways and highways).
- Infrastructure: City Planning, Industrial Park Development, Construction Materials.
